       Our SA-LONG-CƯƠNG Martial Arts School System was founded by the Grand-Master TRƯƠNG-Thanh-Đăng from Martial Arts School System of his uncle and from Martial Arts School System of three celebrious Grand-Masters Mr Hai-Cut, Mr Trương-Trạch and Mr Đinh-Cát.      

       The Grand-Master Trương-Thanh-Ðăng, aka Huyết-Hùng, war nicknamed Bảy-Ðăng, was born on 15th of January 1894 at Bình-Thuận, in the coastal region from very south of Centre Việt-Nam (Phan-Thiết). He had studied Martial Arts of Bình-Ðịnh with his uncle until he was 14 years old. At this time, as it was the french colonisation, he must study Martial Arts on the sly. Sometimes, his uncle did teaching him the 24 technics of Battle Staff Drill with a schoolchild's ruler.

       Later, during 15 years, he continued to devote oneself dìligently to the training of Martial Arts.

       Concerning Traditional Martial Arts of Việt-Nam : he studied at Bình-Định, in Center Việt-Nam, with the Grand-Master HAI-Cụt at the village of Cẩm-Thượng then he studied with Grand-Master TRƯƠNG-Trạch, at the district of Phù-Mỹ, who teached him the Eighteen Sections of Martial Arts and finally he studied with the Grand-Master ÐINH-Cát at the district of An-Nhơn (In the journal « Võ-Thuật - Vol. II N° 8 » The reporter Trần Thế Thủy got the wrong name with Mr Ba-Cát, a Martial Arts Master in the South Việt-Nam and younger than Grand-Master Trương-Thanh-Ðăng).

       As for Martial Arts of Shaolin Temple, he studied with the north vietnamese Great Master Vĩnh-Phúc and with a chinese Great Master of Fu-Kien. However, with the study level of Martial Arts of our Great-Master Trương-Thanh-Ðăng, this Great-Master of Fu-Kien could only teach him one Codified Sequence (Thảo) of bare hands fighting «Tứ Môn Chương», one Codified Sequence (Thảo) of nine-sections-whipe and the hidden-weapon method of throwing needles by the mouth.

       In 1925, the Grand-Master TRƯƠNG-Thanh-Ðăng opened his Martial Arts School at Phan-Thiết.

       In 1930, he established in the south of Việt-Nam.

       Later, he opened his school to teach discreetly Traditional Martial Arts of Việt-Nam, hardly acquired, to a small number of students.  

       When he arrived in the South of Việt-Nam, he realized that the majority of Vietnameses encouraged their children and their young brothers to only study chinese Martial Arts.

       Then, he opened a School for teaching Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts of Bình-Định and Chinese Martial Arts of the Shaolin Temple so that Vietnamieses would be able to have the occasion to compare it and make distinction out of it.

       In 1964, the Great-Master was invited to enter in the Federation of Martial Arts of Việt-Nam and October the 14th of 1964, he opened officially his drill hall of SA-LONG-CƯƠNG Martial Arts at Saïgon, capital of South-Việtnam and trained there a great number of martial students.

       In September the 17 th of 1985, he left our world, bequeathing to posterity a Martial Arts School System which don't cease to develop ever since in all the five continents.

       His son, Mr TRƯƠNG-Bá-Ðương, took his succession as Martial Rector Master of the SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System 2nd generation.

       During the « 1rst SA-LONG-CƯƠNG International Convention », in 2004 - organized at Pierrefonds and at Brossard (Canada) in the occasion of the Commémoration Day of the Grand-Master Trương-Thanh-Đăng - the definitive change henceforth of the name « SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System » into « Bình-Định SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System» have been reached unanimously, by all Martial Arts Masters and Instructors of various countries representatives (France, USA, Canada, Việt-Nam & Italia) present.

       In 2005, the Martial Rector Master, Mr TRƯƠNG-Bá-Ðương, was elected to the Presidency of the Bình-Định SA-LONG-CƯƠNG International Federation.
